Plans for 2017

2017 New Year

First of all I would like to apologise, as I feel like I’ve neglected my blog towards the end of this year, which is such a shame. I love writing and sharing my thoughts with people on internet, so it frustrates me that I can’t keep weekly content coming up on my blog, partly because I work full time and haven’t got a working laptop currently to just sit downstairs and chill.

So the first thing I want to change is activity on here, whether that be more blog posts, features or game reviews. I aim to write at least one post every fortnight hopefully providing I can actually come up with the content ideas. One big change at the start of 2017 for me is going to be fibre optic broadband, so now I’ll have a streaming setup to work with, as I already have the consoles and PC to edit for videos and overlays. I’m really looking forward to getting more stuff up on my Twitch and YouTube. I spent quite a bit of time setting these pages up and designing the graphics to compliment, so it makes sense to use them now. You’ll probably thinking that everyone does streaming and video content now, but this is more for myself, as I’ve wanted to do it for years but never had the internet at both my parents and now my own place.

Another change I want to implement in 2017 is more work with other websites, people and companies to build my own reputation up. I already established a few relationships in the games industry, but I want to further add to that and build Complete Xbox even more in 2017. More exclusives and giveaways where I can achieve that.

If you have any suggestions on what to improve on in 2017, then please do let me know down in the comments below, as I’m happy to take on your feedback.

Trying new things

Painting palette - trying something new.

I admit that I don’t live a very exciting lifestyle, but hat’s something I’m content with – so when coming up with new ideas for my blog I thought of this. How about I try doing a new activity or learn a new skill once every month and blog about it. For example, I might learn how to crotchet or I might take up painting for he month and share a few things I’ve learnt. It will basically be a diary of what I’ve learnt in that month.

So how am I going to come up with ideas, well that comes down to you guys and girls, as I’m more than willing to take suggestions on what to learn either on Twitter: @JamieTarren or simply by leaving a comment below.

I look forward to seeing what you’ve got in store for me.

My return and a new direction!

Welcome back!Just wanted to do¬† quick update post and announce my return back to the website. I’ve been away from this project for some time, accumulating ideas on what to do with it, whilst going through some changes of my own in my personal life. I’ve graduated from my Journalism degree at the University of Lincoln and now, I find myself working in the social media field. I still do the odd bit of occasional gaming to go alongside that in my free time. As for my love life, I’ve also met someone truly special, who supports me and cares for me in every way possible. I don’t want to embarrass her, but she knows who she is, as I’m sure many of my Twitter followers do, judging on my soppy tweets from time-to-time.

That’s enough about me anyway! Now onto the actual project itself and what I plan to carry on doing with this web space. For starters, I’d like to keep the gaming themed posts going, as that is a fond interest of mine and something that will never change. Video games have played too much of a role in my life to simply get up and forget about them. I also want to explore new fields though, so I guess you can say that this is going to become a lifestyle blog about my interests. Just an example of some of the things that come to mind: cooking, movies, TV series, handmade crafts, anything really.

So why did I fancy change? It just suits me more I guess. I’ve always been focused on gaming, but now I’ve spent the past couple of months exploring new interests, I really want to write about them and share my thoughts. After all, that’s what blogging is all about, sharing your interests with others.

I look forward to writing more content soon, so stay tuned!
